What is Move it or Lose it?

This fun and friendly class includes a mixture of exercises to help improve your aerobic health, balance, strength and flexibility for greater independence and stamina.

The session aims to get you exercising with the goal of working towards improving your physical health so that you can stay physically active and independent, as well as being able to continue to enjoy the activities you’ve always loved.


What will happen in a Move it or Lose it class?

The class includes a warm-up followed by resistance bands, balance and flexibility exercises. The session is mostly seated but uses some standing exercises for balance (chair support and/or seated exercises are offered for those unable to stand for balance exercises).

Exercises can be adapted to suit different levels of ability and age-related health conditions. Different equipment will be used to add enjoyment and variety.

Clothing simply needs to be comfortable and should not restrict your movement i.e gym wear or loose trousers would be ideal – avoid jeans or a skirt. This class should be done in comfortable supportive shoes such as trainers.
